Candy Chesser

Ms. Chesser retired from the Naval Air Systems Command in February 2020 after 39 years of service.

During her tenure, she served as a Program Manager for the Air Combat Electronics program office, where she led more than 400 military, civilian and contractor personnel with an annual budget of $430 million. In 2017, she was selected to lead the Logistics Management and Integration Department.  She was responsible for 3,900 naval aviation aircraft and weapons programs and approximately 1,300 employees.

A graduate of University of Maryland University College, Ms. Chesser earned a master’s degree in project management from Florida Institute of Technology. She is a lifetime member of the Leonardtown Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary and an honorary member of the Rescue Squad.  Candy lives in Loveville with her husband Ricky.  They have a son, a daughter and six grandchildren, all who live close and keep them busy!
