Subsidized Apartments

Rents are subsidized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
Income limits apply
Age restrictions apply – must be 62 years of age or above
10% of apartments are leased to adults under the age of 62 with a disability
Your rent will be calculated based on your household income, assets and qualifying deductions. Your rent will not exceed 30% of your adjusted monthly income.
Asset restrictions apply. Those with assets totaling $100,000 in value or more, and those who own real property suitable for their occupancy that they have the right to sell, do not qualify for HUD assistance.

The staff always look out for her. As her only caregiver, I appreciate that she can choose to have housekeeping and laundry service, at an extra cost. There are free dinners from time to time. They like bingo. Friendly staff. Convenient location. Good access to health care and physical therapy nearby. Handicap accessible wortwith even severe disability.
