Community Member Tests Positive for COVID-19

Dear Cedar Lane residents, families & friends,

Cedar Lane learned today that a member of our community has tested positive for COVID-19. The affected individual is currently in quarantine and we are working with the Health Department on contact tracing.

If you are identified as someone who has had contact with this individual, you will be notified by me, or a member of the Health Department. Those notified of potential exposure will be directed to quarantine for 14 days and are expected to follow this directive. The Sheriff’s Office will help us monitor this situation as needed.

We continue to make resident and staff safety our top priority. Common spaces are being cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis. We encourage all residents, staff members and caregivers to monitor for any sign of potential illness. People with COVID-19 have reported a wide range of symptoms ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. These symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Diarrhea
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

Remember to wear a mask, wash your hands, keep a safe distance and follow the Governor’s orders regarding holiday gatherings. We cannot let our guard down. Thank you in advance for your diligence in helping us mitigate COVID-19 in our community.

Sincerely,

Beverly Stickles
