John “Mickey” Ramos

Mr. Ramos is a successful business owner, insurance agent and community advocate who has greatly contributed to the betterment of St. Mary’s County. Not only is he co-owner of Mickey’s Tuxedoes, in business since 1975, he also connects clients to quality, affordable health and life products as a broker for Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Maryland and TransAmerica.

Since earning an Associate’s Degree in marketing from Strayer College in Washington D.C., his varied career has taken him from human resources to real estate to marketing roles for the BayNet and Southern Maryland Woman magazine.

Mr. Ramos is an active member of the St. Aloysius Choir, the Knights of Columbus, and the Leonardtown High Boosters. Over the years he has dedicated his time, talent and support to the Boy Scouts, Eagle Scouts, Walk for the Poor, Chaptico Classic, and the Nicolette Skate Park fundraiser. He was a past member on the Board of Directors for Alternatives for Youth.

As the Maryland State Chairman for the American Heart Association, he was the top fundraiser, inspiring more than $28,000 in donations. In his free time, he enjoys playing with local bands “Bar Dogs” and “Coastline.”
