Melanie Trifone is the St Marys County Sheriff’s Office Agency RN. Melanie has completed certifications in Assisting Individuals in Crisis, Group Crisis Intervention, and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF). She has also completed her certification as a peer support teammate.
Additionally, Melanie has completed specialized training in Quality Measures and EMR build and implementation. Prior to joining SMSCO, Melanie worked in Acute care settings in leadership roles for Peri Anesthesia/OR, Maternal/Child Health, Emergency services and as a consultant building and supporting EMRs for Surgical Services, Anesthesia and Obstetrics. She has extensive knowledge of Hospital preparedness/occupational safety. As a consultant, she has developed EMR documentation for surveillance and linkage of Sepsis alerts within EMR s.
Melanie works with the agency Mental Health liaison to support the officers and support staff both mentally and physically.
